This recipe is inspired by the Butter queen herself, Paul Deen. This is so easy to make and so good. It's perfect for any party especially superbowl. I mean, who doesn't love bacon and chicken?
So here is what you will need to recreate this meaty appetizer,
1lb boneless chicken breast
1lb bacon (any kind, I find hikory smoke tastes better)
1 cup of packed brown sugar
2 tbs chili powder
1 tbs lemon (Totally optional! I just happen to love lemon)
Lastyly, toothpicks
All you need to do now is cut up your chicken into bite-size cubes and cut you bacon strips in half so you're bacon is doubled. Once you chicken and bacon is all cut up, take a chicken cube and wrap one of the slices of bacon you cut in half and secure it with a toothpick.
Once all pieces of chicken are wrapped in bacon take your chili powder and brown sugar and mix the two ingrediants in a bowl.
Coat your bacon wrapped chicken bites generously in the chili sugar mixture and then place it on a cooking tray and squeeze on some lemon juice on all chicken bites, (Again! This part is optional)
Turn you oven to 350 degrees and cook for 10-15 minutes. Keep a close eye on them and check every few minutes. After about 15 minutes turn the heat up to 450 to cook the bacon through a little more for about 5-10 minutes.
All that's left is to take them out and let cool, then serve!
