Ah, stretch marks, about 80% of women in the world have them. There are a few ways these wrinkled streaks can form on our bodies, the most common way is when we are expecting a baby. Yes, they may be ugly, but embrace them. These marks were formed while your precious child lived and grew inside your womb. You could, in a way, call them love marks.
Having carried two daughters of my own, my mid section was ravaged with stretch marks. They made me feel very self conscious, even around my husband. Even after I lost the baby weight, I still covered up. Yes, even during that special time you share with your husband, which ironically created the baby, which then in turn created the stretch marks.
In todays post, I'm going to share some tips and introduce a few products that will help prevent stretch marks, during and after your pregnancy. Even if you aren't pregnant or never were pregnant and still happen to have stretch marks, these products will still work wonders.
This may sound cliche, but if you want to avoid stretch marks during pregnancy, WORKOUT! Yes, your body needs the exercise for so many different reasons. Exercise will help your skin retain its elasticity by improving your body's circulation. Not to mention, excerise will help keep you from gaining a ton of weight. In the beginning of your pregnancy you can pretty much workout how you normally would. Obviously, as your pregnancy progresses and nearing it's end, working out will be become more difficult.

Another way to prevent stretch marks is using products, such as these. This first one is called bump gloss by Spoiled Mama. This is particularly useful during pregnancy and even before. The oil in this product is long lasting and very hydrating. It will keep elasticity in skin healthy, therfore preventing stretch marks from occuring.
Also from Spoiled Mama, we have a tummy butter, which I LOVE tummy butters. This tummy butter creates a protective shield, so to speak, which locks in moisture and will keep your skin healthy and help hold its elasticity.

Bio-Oil is a tad on the expensive side, but trust me when I say this stuff is a amazing! It is made with PureCellin oil which makes the skin asorb this product easily. You will find this product in my bathroom. It's not just great my stretch marks but it works wonders on scars, imperfections, and aging.

The last product I have to share with you is the popular Palmer's Cocoa Butter. This stuff is popular for a reason....because it works. While I was pregnant I used the tummy butter, pictured below. Now, I use the lotion, pictured to your left twice a day. Not only can I see a difference since I've started using this product , but my skin feels so much healthier and soft.

Wether you have stretch marks or not, you are beautiful inside and out. Love your body no matter what imperfections you may have. I would love to hear about the products you use/used. Share with me down in comments below what you did to get rid of your stretch marks and as always,
Stay Beautiful
